Special Session 1: Power System Stability & Emerging Technologies, Energy Storage & Conversion

The increasing penetration of renewable energy resources, inverter-based generation, and distributed energy systems is transforming modern power grids. While these technologies contribute to decarbonization and sustainability goals, they also introduce significant challenges related to system stability, inertia reduction, frequency regulation, and grid resilience.

This Special Session aims to bring together researchers, academics, industry experts, and practitioners to discuss the latest advances in power system stability, low-inertia power systems, emerging grid technologies, and the role plays by energy storage and their conversion systems. The session will provide a platform to present innovative methodologies, practical applications, and future research directions for sustainable and resilient energy systems.

The session encourages interdisciplinary contributions addressing theoretical developments, modeling, simulation, experimental validation, and industrial applications.
